Gotta Talk about Politics! Are You Registered to Vote?
9/9/2008: Greetings Conscious Ones!
I am so JOYFULLY HOPEFUL about what I saw during the Democratic National Convention! The emphasis in this Democratic campaign is so heartful, so HUMAN oriented, multicultural, family and human-family oriented. I'm loving it!! Friends, there are signs of actual consciousness in these politicians.
If you didn't watch it, I highly recommend watching some of the speeches through on YouTube or through www.demconvention.com. Please visit my politics page, http://www.moonsinger.com/realitycheck.htm, to find links to my favorite speeches... Barack Obama, of course, and Michelle Obama was amazing! I also liked both Bill and Hillary Clinton's speeches, and Al Gore! Yay Al! And Joe Biden & Dennis Kucinich. They were all very positive, articulate and heartful. They spoke respectfully of McCain, even though they made it clear they didn't agree with his politics.
And I am so appalled by the Republican Candidates! Yikes! I thought McCain was bad enough, but then I saw Palin's ugly and negative acceptance speech. She is downright scary! And I didn't see either McCain or Palin talk about what they actually planned to do if elected. All they could do was attack and ridicule their opponents.

The presidential election is less than 8 weeks away and I feel this is a very important time for our country and our planet. We are facing very big problems and I encourage you to get involved now. For Arizona, people must be registered to vote by Oct 6.
Please make sure you are registered to vote and that your kids and their friends are registered. I think a strong youth and minority vote will be necessary. It is possible to get an absentee ballot if you are unable to go to the polls to vote on election day.
I also encourage maintaining a positive, hopeful, loving attitude during these next weeks. There is a strong tendency to divisiveness, hate, separation, us vs. them, in the air that contradicts our hopes and draws us into the exact vibration we don't want to create. While it is important not to let lies go unchallenged, it is important to figure out how to do this in a loving way. I have the vision of people working together to solve our common problems.

And I add: I also encourage all Independents to VOTE DEMOCRATIC this year! I consider myself to be an Independent, politically, and if we had a functioning multi-party system, I might choose another candidate -- although, this year, I AM feeling good about Barack Obama and Joe Biden. But even though I am Independent in my views, I am pragmatic enough to realize that an Independent candidate has no chance of winning, and each vote given to an Independent is a vote that takes away support for the only viable candidate who can possibly succeed in being a better president than the past and present Republicans. For reasons I can hardly comprehend, it appears that this will be a close election. PLEASE SUPPORT THE ONES WHO CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE NOW - BARACK OBAMA AND JOE BIDEN.
WE MUST WAKE UP FROM THIS REPUBLICAN NIGHTMARE!
